The Brunton Family came from all over the country to visit with each other in Nashville. Since their entire family isn’t always in the same place often, they wanted to take advantage of their trip and have extended family photos taken. I was honored when Hannah reached out to me about booking their session.
Why is it important to have Extended Family Photos taken?
Extended Family Photos are truly a legacy. Time passes by so quickly, having photos taken to capture these moments will last for generations to come. During an extended family session, I always start with a posed photo of the entire family then break down into smaller groups like individual families, siblings, and grandkids. I love taking extended family pictures and capturing these special memories! Things can change so fast, and you will never regret having these special family photos. This was the first time the Brunton Family had professional pictures, and the entire family were naturals!

Who says you can’t have fun while taking extended family photos?
During all of my family sessions, I love to capture genuine moments and interactions between each other. I have a few secrets up my sleeve that I learned from my mentor Ashley Ammons during her family photography workshop. I love picking up a photo and still being able to hear the laughter from that exact moment.

Extended Family Photos make the perfect gifts!
I tell people all the time that they should book an extended family session for their parents or grandparents. It’s one of the best gifts you can give. It lasts forever, and they are perfect for displaying in your home! The colors that the Brunton family chose for their outfits would look great hanging in any home. I sent over my style guide before their session to help them prepare for their session! Needing help picking out what to wear for your session? Here are some of my favorite tips!

Adding Variety into your Extended Family Photos
I always make sure we find a location that has different areas to provide tons of variety. This session was at Magnolia Farms Events in Eagleville, TN. They are a wedding venue, but I partnered with them in 2021 to start hosting family sessions at their location. This location is absolutely breathtaking, and my families always love the photos we capture there.

After the Brunton’s session, I was able to edit their photos within 24 hours to deliver their gallery before they all returned home. Now that is a quick turn around! I strive to deliver your photos as quickly as possible, but also providing you with the most beautiful photos.
