Mom, how many photos do you have of you and your kids? Let’s face it. As moms, we are usually the one taking the photos. Not to mention, when you tell Dad to snap a photo it is never what we expect. This is why I love doing Mommy and Me Mini sessions.

There is something special about the bond between a mother and her son.
During my last Mom and Me Mini Sessions, I got to photography the sweetest mother and son together. Being a girl mom myself, I will always be envious of the bond between a mother and her son. The photos that I took of Madison and Kingston are the perfect example of this precious bond.
The location of our Mommy and Me session was gorgeous.
Sinking Creek Farm in Murfreesboro, TN is one of my favorite locations to do sessions at. It’s tucked away in the middle of Murfreesboro. I have done a lot of other sessions there but for Mommy and Me mini sessions I decided to use the creek. They also have the cutest vintage row boat that I used for some photos as well.

The day of their Mommy and Me session was the perfect day.
The week before the session, it rained almost every day. Instead of the warm, sunny spring weather that is usual for last April in Tennessee. The temperature warmed up enough and the sun would peep out here and there through the overcast sky. Their outfit choices were perfect as well. (Need help picking out your family outfits, check out this blog post.)
Some of my favorite photos were these sweet mommy and me interactions of Kingston giving Mom a kiss or a big hug. Those are the moments that I love to capture because you can relive them forever. As moms, we all know they will only be this little once.

But wait there is more…Kingston is going to be a Big Brother!
Madison is already a great boy mom, but she will be adding another little boy to her gang soon. I got to capture early memories between big brother and little brother. We will have to update their Mommy and Me Mini Session next year with brother.
I am so thankful that Madison trusted me to capture these memories for her. Our session was such a good time and I can not wait to work with their family again! Especially once little brother makes his arrival. After our session, Madison shared her experience with me and left me the sweetest review. Her review and reaction to her photos are exactly why I became a photographer.
